ABOUT THE ARTIST

Julaika Jooma is a visual artist, based in Syddjurs near Aarhus, Denmark. She is driven by a love for craftsmanship and creativity. This has played a vital role in her life as she started working with an artist, when she was 11years old.

With more than 13 years of professional experience as a tattooist, Julaika has a great background for making original art. The results are always tailored as her techniques are intuitive and observing. With beautiful illustrations and perfected visual aesthetics, Julaika always creates an unique atmosphere.

“I love to draw and work with my hands. I specially love the process of linocuts, were everything is manually made. The sketching, carving, mixing colours and printing by hand, gives me an euphoric state of mind. Im inspired by nature, the human body, colors and anyhting exotic!” - Julaika Jooma
